Thanks for stopping by BlackBerry Acres. We are a small goat operation located in SW Washington about 30 minutes from Portland, OR. Most of our goats are Boer or a mixture of Boer and Nubian. Boer goats are meat goats and Nubians are dairy goats so we cover both sides of the goat world. We are mostly keeping goats for brush control now, slowing dramtically, or totally stopping, our breeding program. We're not getting any younger and health issues keep popping up, interfering with the goat keeping. We love our goats though and will continue to post pictures here. Starting in the later part of February our kidding season will start and we will post baby pictures. I plan on keeping some of the kids but some will have to be sold so I'll be looking for good homes. These pages will be updated fairly regularly (got a new camera for Christmas) so be sure to check back and see the new pictues.
